This week I was in the airport in Toronto, preparing to check in to my flight to Israel, so grateful that I will be home for Chanukah. Suddenly I heard someone yell my name– I turned around, and it was a MOMentum sister, on her way to Israel for her son’s Bar Mitzvah! She told me her three sons had never been to Israel, and her husband had not been since 1983. She said this trip was completely inspired by her experience with us in Israel.
Then I boarded the plane, and again I hear someone yell out my name. Another MOMentum sister! She, her husband, and son were on their way to visit her daughter, who has been on a volunteer program for the past nine months. She said it was all inspired by her MOMentum year, which began with a life-changing trip to Israel.

I had been on the road fundraising, which is not easy, and was so grateful to Hashem for this gift of seeing some of the ongoing results of our work. It is what keeps us doing what we do.
Yes, investing in a Jewish mother is a very good investment, indeed. The ROI, return on investment, was very clear on the plane, as the influencer of the home clearly is making sure that the light of Jewish values burns bright.
Now THAT’S Chanukah.
