Momentum Year-Long Journey
The MOMentum Year-Long Journey empowers women to connect to Jewish values, engage with Israel, take action, and foster unity, without uniformity. It includes a profound, personal 8-day experience in Israel, during which women explore the Jewish homeland, take in inspiring Jewish wisdom, and join a global Jewish sisterhood. Back home, women channel their energy and passion personally, professionally, and communally, and continue their journey through educational and leadership programs.

Day 1
Learning & Growth
We are the “People of The Book” and we approach every experience as learners. As we begin our journey in Israel, we activate our learning to make the world a better place.
Day 2
Courage
In Tel Aviv we experience the momentous establishment of the State of Israel. A modern city built on timeless values, Tel Aviv illustrates what it means to boldly step out of one’s comfort zone to make a difference for others.
Day 3
Peace & Wholeness in the Home
Family relationships can provide a living laboratory for growth. While exploring the mystical city of Tzfat, we consider how we can create stronger relationships and grow closer to our loved ones.
Day 4
Faithfulness & Trust
A relationship with God can anchor us in every aspect of our life in the present and can drive us toward our future. At the Kotel, the holiest place in the world, and at Mount Herzl, Israel’s national cemetery, our prayers and thoughts connect us to God, ourselves, and our fellow Jews.
Day 5
Human Dignity
Each person is made in God’s image, infinitely valuable, and deserving of dignity. As we physically prepare for Shabbat, we also prepare our souls through learning, singing and connecting with those around us.
Day 6
Generosity
On Shabbat, local Jerusalem families welcome us into their homes and lives, sharing their food and wisdom. Their hospitality reminds us that acts of kindness and giving uphold our world.
Day 7
Unity & Mutual Responsibility
Today, we imagine the legacy we want to leave to our children and grandchildren. We consider our ancestors’ actions on Masada, and realize that we are all interconnected and responsible for one another.
Day 8
Gratitude
Our last day together! With our hearts full of gratitude for our many blessings, we are ready to channel our growth and inspiration in ways that impact ourselves, our families, and our communities.

What does the trip cost?
For our participants, this is a heavily subsidized trip. Each participant on our women’s trip receives a $3,300 scholarship, 80% provided by Momentum and 20% provided by your Partner Organization. It does not include airfare, a $99 acceptance fee or tips.
Can I come on a different date with a different city?
The short answer is “No.” A vital part of the Momentum experience is creating community at home, with women in your city and each Partner Organization invests in each of its participants to make this happen.
What if I have already been to Israel?
We give priority to women who have never been to Israel, or who visited before they turned 18, but many of our participants have visited Israel in the past. Apply and speak to your Community Leader for more details.
