When I hear about Tzfat, I immediately think about spirituality. Nilli started the day sharing amazing stories and insight about Adam and Eve and the importance of forming strong relationships. Even though everyone has a different interpretation of the word love.. the truth is, it is so smart to focus on another person’s good qualities and identify them with their good qualities, not the negative ones that may stand out. Why do we spend so much time focusing on the person who messed up instead of the person who may just be having a troublesome day?
Discussing the story of Adam and Eve and how they were initially attached but later were divided into male and female was insightful … the man couldn’t be alone, so G-d made the female. How interesting. It was amazing to think that this introduced the concept of 2 halves becoming one both back in the days of Adam and Eve and during the wedding ceremony when two people go down the aisle individually and leave together as one… two bodies, one soul.. both giving 100% to their marriage.
As the bus rode into Tzfat, I observed the differences in the newer area and the older one. It is incredible to think that such an old city has so much life. The mikvah experience started with dancing, snacks, and more incredible information from Nili.. as well as Elisheva, who manages the mikvah. Elisheva shared helpful step by step details about the process and provided my group with the newfound knowledge that was previously unknown or not as accurate – why scheduling the mikvah date is important, what prayer is said, how the mikvah is the power of Jewish women. This tour ended with a meaningful meditation session focusing on us. The beautiful synagogue, the creative artwork, the gorgeous jewelry and so much more.. a day in Tzfat that was unforgettable.
